How can immersive technologies, artificial intelligence, and modern learning environments help promote inclusion and lifelong learning in a sustainable way? And why is it essential for people with disabilities not only to benefit from digitalization, but also to play an active role in shaping it?
These questions were explored in the presentation “Cutting-Edge Technologies as an Opportunity for Participation and Lifelong Learning”: Dr. Leila Mekacher, Managing Director of the Innoversa Factory, integrates innovative technologies into vocational education to develop accessible, practice-oriented learning methods.
The approach to supporting neurodivergent people begins by training them in cutting-edge technologies at the Technological Education Center of Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd, continues with their employment in Innoversa’s inclusive enterprises, and extends to their involvement in international research projects with experts in autism, vocational education and training, immersive learning, and skills assessment.
