Podcast insight: Technology, responsibility, and autism inclusion

In a podcast conversation (moderated by Klara Tuličić), she expresses her gratitude for the renewed invitation and pays special tribute to the Metautism team and the project partners: The results were only possible through cooperation, trust, and a common goal. The content focuses on Green ASC VET – Metautism and how immersive learning approaches, XR, and gamification can open up real educational and career opportunities for autistic learners.

She also describes her personal journey: from rehabilitation robotics to immersive technologies (XR) – from research and development to founding and managing a social tech company focused on autism inclusion, alongside teaching and mentoring work in vocational education. Her guiding principle: technology is meaningful when it breaks down barriers and gives people back their self-determination.

Her core messages are: Inclusion is not charity, but a systemic responsibility. Autistic people should not be “managed”; they should be seen as colleagues with strengths. Co-design and continuous feedback are essential, as is the targeted use of XR/serious games/AI-powered skills tracking to provide safe spaces for practice, clear expectations, measurable progress, and personalized learning pathways. Many barriers lie less in people’s skills than in the structures surrounding the job—applications, interviews, communication, sensory environments, and rigid processes. The underlying logic of the system must therefore change: open doors, not close them.
