At the end of 2023, the time had finally come: seven project partners from six EU countries gathered in Croatia for the kick-off meeting. Two days filled with hospitality, engaging presentations, and interviews with the Croatian radio station Brod provided the perfect foundation for presenting the Innoversa Factory work packages, defining interfaces, and developing a joint plan for 2024. Further important events are planned for 2024: a seminar in Portugal, a meeting and training session in Denmark, and a visit to SRH Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd in Germany. In this project, Dr. Leila Mekacher represents both her company, Innoversa Factory, and SRH Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd, which is responsible for quality and evaluation. Together with Dr. Enis Yazıcı, she presented the quality assurance concept, which covers the following key points:
- Continuous quality control of all activities and deliverables.
- Internal and external evaluations, with the establishment of feedback loops, including the involvement of apprentices and trainers.
- Conducting pilot tests at the SRH Vocational Training Centre Neckargemünd to evaluate the usefulness and relevance of the XR solutions in the learning modules with a small group of trainees.
- Technical tests to check the functionality and performance of the implementations.
- Ensuring the accessibility of digital content for people with diverse profiles and needs.
- Quality assurance of the XR content development process, as well as evaluation of the integration and relevance of XR content in vocational education and training.
The team’s dedication lays the foundation for innovative, practical solutions in vocational education and training—a promising step toward the future!
