The article looks back on a teaching project in the module "Participation in Working Life II (TA II)" at the University of the Federal Employment Agency (Mannheim Campus). On July 15, 2025, the exhibition "The Future of Work for People with Disabilities" was opened – a milestone that allowed students to test innovative approaches in a real-world laboratory setting, accompanied by the technical expertise of lecturer Dr. Leila Mekacher.
A key focus was the interactive and accessible presentation of academic content: for the first time, posters were enhanced using Artivive, allowing visitors to access videos and additional information via the app. Accessible content in Easy Language and resources for visually impaired visitors were also available. The exhibition was on display at the library on the Mannheim campus until the end of September 2025.
The posters covered a broad range of topics related to work and participation—from Work 4.0 and megatrends to remote work, AI and assistive systems, as well as digital participation, accessibility, empowerment and neurodiversity. The conclusion: innovation and inclusion go hand in hand—and the students demonstrated in practical terms how this can be achieved.
